Jean-Félix Koninckx
Osteopath D.O. · Registration N° 09014413001
A Belgian osteopath, I hold a Master's degree in Osteopathy from the European School of Osteopathy (United Kingdom). During my training, I completed over 1,300 hours of supervised clinical practice with patients of all ages and for a wide range of conditions.
I combine structural, functional, visceral and cranial approaches to tailor each treatment to the person in front of me. I have a particular interest in paediatric osteopathy, and regularly treat adults for back and neck pain, joint and muscular disorders, sports injuries and stress-related tensions.
Each consultation includes a personalised assessment, hands-on treatment and practical advice to support recovery, improve mobility and prevent recurrence.
Careful palpation.
A complete assessment.
The aim: to restore the body's balance so tissues regain optimal mobility and function.
- Structural
Work on joints, posture and overall body mobility.
- Functional
Gentle tissue-listening techniques that respect the body's rhythms.
- Visceral
Mobility of the organs and their envelopes, often linked to deep tensions.
- Cranial
A subtle approach, particularly suited to infants and children.
Frequently asked
questions.
Everything worth knowing before booking — the consultation, the approach, reimbursements.
What kinds of problems do you treat?
I address a wide range of reasons for consultation:
- — Back and neck pain
- — Muscular and joint pain
- — Stress- and tension-related disorders
- — Sports injuries and pain
- — Paediatric osteopathy (infants & children)
- — Pregnancy and post-partum follow-up
- — Everyday functional disorders
How many sessions will I need?
Every patient is different. Some conditions improve in one or two sessions; others benefit from longer follow-up. My goal is to make you autonomous as quickly as possible.
Do I need to bring anything to my appointment?
If you have any recent medical documents (MRI, X-rays, medical reports…), feel free to bring them. Wear comfortable clothing that makes the clinical examination easier.
Do I need a medical referral?
No. Osteopathy is a first-line profession. You can book directly, without a prescription. If your situation calls for another medical opinion, I will refer you to the appropriate healthcare professional.
What's the difference between an osteopath, a physiotherapist and a chiropractor?
All three professions aim to relieve pain and improve body function. Osteopathy stands out through its global approach, which considers the patient as a whole to adapt treatment to their situation.
Do manipulations always crack?
No. Manipulations with an audible "pop" are just one tool among many. They're only used when appropriate, adapted to your situation and performed safely. Many osteopathic techniques are completely silent.
Do you treat babies and children?
Yes. I see patients of all ages, from infants to seniors. Techniques are always adapted to age, development and individual needs.
Are consultations reimbursed?
Yes. After each consultation, a care certificate can be issued so you can claim the reimbursement offered by your mutual insurance or complementary insurance.
How much is reimbursed?
The amount depends on your mutual or insurance provider. In Belgium, it's typically between €10 and €15 per session, with a number of reimbursed consultations that varies by provider.
How much do the main Belgian mutuals reimburse?
As a guide, here are the amounts offered by the main Belgian providers. Conditions may change — check with your mutual for the exact terms.

What patients
are saying.
First time seeing an osteopath. I found him through my best friend online. I got an appointment quickly and he immediately put me at ease and was very attentive. He relieved my back pain right away and worked on other issues too. I recommend him 100%.
Osteopath Koninckx is truly excellent — warm and highly professional. Personal, honest care with real improvements after a single session. The clinic sits in a beautifully calming space, highly recommended!
Effectiveness, gentleness and a clear follow-up plan were all there. I'm glad to have discovered this place and this practitioner, and reassured for what comes next.
